Little Talbot Island

Over 5 miles of wide sandy beaches,salt marshes and dunes on this sea island. Maritime forests. Excellent fishing in the ocean and tidal streams behind the island. Bluefish, striped bass, redfish, flounder, mullet and sheepshead are common catches on the island. Camping, hiking, picnicking, biking, canoeing, surfing and swimming. Parking: $3.25 per vehicle.
Located 17 miles northeast of Jacksonville, on S.R. A1A.

Almost 2,400 acres with interesting and varied plant life. Ponce de Leon's first landing and explorations were probably on these lands. Fresh and saltwater fishing, boating on the Guana and Tolomato rivers, nature study, Atlantic swimming and surfing, hiking and mountain biking.
Guana River State Park is located off A1A, north of St. Augustine.
