Northeast Jacksonville, Florida
Swimming, surfing, sailboarding, fishing, camping. Dogs are allowed in the park and on the beach. Dogs must be leashed and people need to clean up after their dogs.

Kathryn Abbey Hanna State Park

450-acre with 1.5 miles of beach. Swiiming, nature trails, picnic areas, off-road bike trails and 60 acres of freshwater fishing lakes. Admission: $1.00.

Little Talbot Island

Over 5 miles of wide sandy beaches,salt marshes and dunes on this sea island. Maritime forests. Excellent fishing in the ocean and tidal streams behind the island. Bluefish, striped bass, redfish, flounder, mullet and sheepshead are common catches on the island. Camping, hiking, picnicking, biking, canoeing, surfing and swimming. Parking: $3.25 per vehicle.
Located 17 miles northeast of Jacksonville, on S.R. A1A.

Big Talbot Island State Park

Almost 2,400 acres with interesting and varied plant life. Ponce de Leon's first landing and explorations were probably on these lands. Fresh and saltwater fishing, boating on the Guana and Tolomato rivers, nature study, Atlantic swimming and surfing, hiking and mountain biking.
Guana River State Park is located off A1A, north of St. Augustine.

Fernandina Beach Area
