townhomes, cottages, garden, village and estate homes in Celebration Village, the town's first phase with 350 homesites.
West Village, the second phase, with 95 lots on which to build cottage, village and estate homes.
The third residential phase, Lake Evalyn, contains 56 Garden homes, North Village, the fourth phase has over 300 home sites.
Celebration's first residents moved in the summer of 1996, and are enjoying the town's offerings. The community is based on five cornerstones: education, health and technology, place and community. Of course, any town attempting perfection needs a quality school, and Disney has constructed the county-run Celebration School, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The innovative public school sits on a 36-acre campus and includes a 10-acre wetland area, a gym, media center and baseball, softball and soccer fields. 800 kids are enrolled in the school, which open August of 1997. The curriculum was created by a mix of professors from Harvard University, Auburn University, John Hopkins, the University of Minnesota and a consortium of Florida universities.
The town also features Celebration Health, a 60-acre health campus that opened in November 1997 and includes Florida Hospital Comprehensive Health Care Services and Health Activites/Fitness Center.
