Parks
- Florida
has many parks in which to enjoy outdoor activities. Many have walking,
jogging and bike trails, tennis courts, racquetball courts, or golf. Like
beaches, parks are great places to walk dogs, throw a frisbee or play
with your children. If you need more of a challenge try using park benches,
picnic tables, chin-up and pushup bars for upper body strength workouts.
You will see that a workout can be enjoyable, especially amongst the company
of nature and the beautiful weather that we Floridians are so proud of.
Schools - If you don't have nearby access to a beach or park, check
out schools in your area. Many have track fields, basketball courts, tennis
courts or a football stadium -- all great tools for exercising. You can't
beat stadium stair climbing for a high intensity cardiovascular workout.
Get the most out of stairs by using them for exercises such as lunges,
step-ups, dips, and pushups. Football fields have plenty of open space
for calisthenics, mini-football games or just throwing a frisbee. Combine
all or some of these activities, and you'll have a full body you will
actually have fun doing.
