THE FLORIDA EVERGLADES
The two best areas are 210 square miles of Everglades marsh connected with perimeter canals, and 730 square miles of wetlands bordered by a canal system. Access areas can be found along Alligator Alley, at Sawgrass Recreation Area just off U.S. 27, and at the L-67A Canal at the north end of Holiday Park Recreation Area off U.S. 27 and at the south end at the S-333 water control structure off Tamiami Trail (S.R. 41).

TENORAC AREA
Formerly a phosphate mine less than 10 miles northeast of Lakeland, this 6,400-acre property is a series of marshes and samll lakes. Eleven, totaling 758 acres, are open to public fishing, and range from 20 to 250 acres.
