Port St. Lucie
Port St. Lucie is a large city, and one of the most rapidly growing areas in the nation. With a population of about 80,000, the city is equal in size to West Palm Beach.

Home of the New York Mets for spring training, and a golfing paradise, Port St. Lucie is conveniently located for Historic Fort Pierce to the north, and mile upon mile of Atlantic beachfront at Hutchinson Island to the east.

Also a paradise for fishing and watersports, St. Lucie county offers many attractions. A 2-hour riverboat cruise down the St. Lucie River is a good way to get a feel for the place. In June and July night walks are organized to watch the highly endangered Loggerhead and Green Leatherback Turtles make their way from their nest to the sea.

The Manatee Observation Center is an ideal spot to see these creatures close-up between November and April. The famous Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution offers a fascinating tour of the facility, spread out over 500 acres. The Navy Seal museum and the St Lucie County Historical Museum, with its impressive collection of artifacts, is also well worth a visit.
